Resurrection Life Church in Grandville on Mon. April 24.
This year's Outcry line-up is somewhat scaled back from the 2016 version which played in Van Andel
Arena. But the Elevation Worship Band and Jesus Culture are back, along with award-winning singer-
songwriter Lauren Daigle. Pastor-authors Steven Furtick and Levi Lusko are also on the bill.
Daigle, 25, is one of the hottest names in Christian music. The title song from her debut album ("How
Can It Be?) won a 2015 Dove Award as Song of the Year – the same year she won a Dove as top artist.
Last year the album was nominated for a Grammy Award and the Louisiana native won Doves for top
songwriter and artist of the year.
Another song, "Trust In You," was nominated for a Grammy this year. Her current radio single is "Come
Alive (Dry Bones)." She helps lead worship at North Point Ministries in Atlanta, Ga.
CARRYING THE WORSHIP THEME
Elevation Worship comes out of its Elevation Church in Charlotte, N.C. and has released several albums.
The latest is a live project, "Here As In Heaven," issued last year.
Elevation Church founder-pastor Steven Furtick, author of "Crash The Chatterbox" and several other
books, joins them on the Outcry tour.
Jesus Culture is a worship band out of Bethel Church in Redding, Calif. It features worship leader-
songwriter Kim Walker-Smith. Several of the members have solo albums.
Currently the band has a song in the top 10 on worship charts, "Alive In You."
Levi Lusko is pastor of Fresh Life Church, a multi-site church in Montana and Utah that he and his wife
Jennie pioneered ten years ago. His new book "Swipe Right," will be issued in February. It's about how
to live "up" in a left-right world.
THE OUTCRY EXPERIENCE
Outcry proclaims itself as "the lights and sounds of a movement in progress." Organizers say the tour is
presented "for the purpose of championing the work of the local church and to glorify the name of Jesus
