Terry's Picks for March 2019

Here are three highlights for March:
Sandra McCracken – The songwriter/modern day hymn writer with a folk-gospel sound performs an open-to-the-public concert at 7pm Thurs. March 7 at the Jack Miller Center, Hope College in Holland. McCracken is part of "Doxophilia," a weeklong worship/renewal series at Western Theological Seminary. The music artist is leading worship each day in Mulder Chapel and also presenting an invitation-only songwriter's workshop. The March 7 concert has no admission charge – a freewill offering will be received. For more information online.
Francesca Battistelli – The singer-songwriter performs at 7pm Sun. March 24 at Ridge Point Community Church, 340 104th Ave. in Holland. Doors open at 6pm. Battistelli's latest album, "Own It," includes "The Breakup Song." She won a Grammy Award in 2016 for Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance for her song "Holy Spirit." Also on the bill is Stars Go Dim and Elle Limebear. General admission tickets are $26, deluxe $45 (includes copy of CD and pre-show Q&A). VIP seats may also be available. The Gray Havens – The faith-based, folk-pop duo of Dave and Licia Radford perform on a "Storehouse Tour" at 7pm Fri. March 29 at Matthews Performing Arts Center at Cornerstone University in Grand Rapids. Since their recording debut in 2013 the Gray Havens has built a following on college campuses across the country. The couple's latest release is "She Waits." Also on the bill is singer-songwriter Jess Ray. General admission advance tickets are $12, day of show $15. Available via itickets online or by phone at 800-965-9324.
