*Praise in the Park – Church music ensembles from throughout the Rockford and surrounding areas perform at 6 p.m. each Sunday in the "Praise in the Park" series at Garden Park in downtown Rockford. Praise-oriented music is highlighted, and there is no admission charge. Bringing your own seating is encouraged. Musicians during July include artists from Bella Vista Church (July 5), Rockford Reformed (July 12), Resurrection Life Rockford (July 19) and Bridgeway Community (July 26). Garden Park is just off W. *The Martins – The inspirational, Southern gospel trio performs at 6 p.m. Sun. July 12 in Sandy Pines Lakeside Chapel at Sandy Pines Resort in northeast Allegan County. The three Martin family siblings have several Dove Awards and other music honors, and make frequent appearances on the Gaither Homecoming tours and videos. Their most recent CD is a collection titled "A Cappella." The Chapel gate opens at 4 p.m. Bring your own lawn chairs. *Anthony Evans– The inspirational singer-songwriter performs at 7 p.m. Sat. July 18 at Maranatha Bible Conference, 4759 Lake Harbor Rd. Muskegon. The artist (the son of pastor-author Dr. Tony Evans), has recorded a half-dozen record albums and features a mixture of contemporary and urban gospel styles. Evans also leads worship at conferences and in other settings. (His new CD is "Real Life/Real Worship). In 2012 Evans was a contestant in the NBC-TV talent show "The Voice."
