Once again, the scrambling of the calendar by COVID-19 has caused havoc in attempting to list coming events.For May let's mention some events which were originally scheduled for this month and have been either cancelled or postponed. Some have been re-scheduled.
There are some events – especially near the month's end – which were still up in the air at press time and are not listed here.
* Singer-songwriter/worship-leader Cory Asbury's concert May 8 at Restore Church in Ionia has been postponed. Church officials are still working on a reschedule date.
* The "Shabby-Chic Variety Show" May 16 featuring Master Arts Theatre and Hark Up Music has been postponed until Oct. 24, still at Rush Creek Bible Church in Byron Center. Tickets purchased for the May date will be honored in October. More information at https://www.facebook.com/events/210594030188562/
* The Gospel Hymn Sing on May 21 featuring Gerald Wolfe, Greater Vision and several other artists in Jenison Performing Arts Center has been canceled. Ticket refunds will be issued online to those who purchased with credit cards. If payment was by cash or check, please call the box office 616-667-3602 for refunds.
* The 3 Heath Brothers concert May 24 at Sandy Pines Lakeside Chapel in Dorr has been rescheduled for May of 2021. For more information visit http://www.sandypineschapel.com/index.html.
*Voices of Victory Quartet – The May 25 concert at the Christian Reformed Conference Grounds near Grand Haven has been postponed. (Note: The June 6 concert by The Lore Family has been rescheduled for the summer of 2021). For more information visit https://www.facebook.com/events/581122822685248/
