Here are three highlights for May:*Hark Up Spring Concert – Vocal and instrumental ensembles of the Hark Up arts organization perform at 3 p.m. Sun. May 15 in Hudsonville High School Fine Arts Auditorium, 3370 Allen St. in Hudsonville. The Hark Up Horns Big Band and Choir will perform, including vocal soloists Marcia Kloote, Kris Ponstein, Angie Royce and Shannon Dykstra. Among selections on the program: "Revelation Song," "Total Praise" and "A New Hallelujah." Tickets are $10 in advance, $15 at the door; with advance group rates at $8 for 10 or more. *Helmsmen Quartet – The area gospel music group performs at 6 and 7:15 p.m. Fri. May 27 at the Gospel Music Barn, 6881 64th Ave. Hudsonville. The Helmsmen concerts begin a summer-long series at the campground venue, which includes chapel services on Sundays and concerts on Friday and Saturday evenings through early September. There is a "Jamboree Day" on June 18, "Quartet Jubilee" on July 15-16 and a Gospel Bluegrass Festival Aug. 19-20. The musical program at the Gospel Music Barn is led by director Doug Zwyghuizen. *Jim Brady Trio – The inspirational Southern gospel trio kicks off a summer vesper concert series at 6 p.m. Sun. May 29 in Sandy Pines Lakeside Chapel at Sandy Pines Resort in northeast Allegan County. A long time singer with The Booth Brothers, Brady formed his own group which includes his wife Melissa. The new trio's debut album is titled "A New Chapter." The Chapel gate opens at 4 p.m. Bring your own lawn chairs.
